This is a 3 day in-person interactive conference, where we we will reconnect through collaborative discussions, cohort breakout sessions, and informative speakers.  Note: This is an in-person event.  Please only register if you will attend in person.

  • Monday, October 10 | Noon - 5pm 
  • Tuesday, October 11 | 9am- 5pm 
    • At 10am special guest Vance Taylor, Chief of the Office of Access and Functional Needs at CalOES will present on the topic of integrating access and functional needs into emergency management planning in higher education, and join us for a small group activity immediately after.

  • Wednesday, October 12 | 9am- Noon 

Each day will include time for cohort breakout discussions.

FEES
There is no registration fee.  However, travel costs and meals are the responsibility of the attendee.

AIRPORT
From San Jose Airport: Take Interstate 880 which becomes Highway 17 south to Santa Cruz, then Highway 1 north.

DIRECTIONS
Once you're in Santa Cruz on Highway 1 north, continue as it becomes Mission Street through town. (More Information)

PARKING (read carefully)

  • When you arrive on Day 1, park in Lot 201 (next to Seymour Center) and use ParkMobile App to pay (daily rate of $10). If Lot 201 is full, use Lot 206 (0.25 mile from Seymour Center).
  • A limited number of guest parking permits will be available for Day 2
  • Reciprocity for parking permits from other campuses is available but requires some advanced planning. To use this option, you will need to: 
    (1) Before you travel, ask your location’s parking office email tapssales@ucsc.edu to confirm you have a long-term permit and are eligible
    (2) Once at UCSC, show your ID and parking permit to the TAPS sales office in the H Barn on the UCSC lower campus between 7am-5pm Monday-Friday to obtain UCSC daily parking passes.

MEALS
UC Santa Cruz will be hosting the following meals:

  • Monday: Lunch and Afternoon Refreshments
  • Tuesday: Breakfast, Lunch, and Afternoon Refreshments
  • Wednesday: Breakfast and Lunch (Boxed)

Please note that meals provided by UC Santa Cruz are not applicable to travel reimbursements.
Dinner will be on your own.  There will be a group dinner option arranged for at least one of the evenings.
